My Background

Hello everyone!

My name is Alex Deneau. I am a single mother of two wonderful boys. My oldest is fourteen years old and my youngest is eleven years old. Their birth is what drove me to be the person I am today.

I have eight years of schooling under my belt. Four years Pre-Nursing, three years Nutrition, and one year Massage Therapy. I also have six degrees. An Associate Degree in Science with an Emphasis is Nursing, an Associate Degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences, an Associate Degree in Math & Sciences, an Associate Degree in Arts & Humanities, a Bachelors Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with an Emphasis in Nutrition, and an Associate Degree in Massage Therapy.

I am also certified in the use of cupping, Himalayan salt stones, aromatherapy, CBD, pre/post natal massage, and Ashiatsu massage. Not to mention I am a certified Public Notary in the State of Washington.

Needless to say I am, and always have been, a very driven individual. I LOVE helping others in anyway I possibly can, and so most definitely look forward to seeing you all, and being given the chance to do just that here at De' Ssage Oasis Therapeutic Massage Studio!

My Approach

Now in regard to my approach I am very eclectic when it comes to massage.

I believe that in order to properly treat an individual they must first be able to fully relax and decompress..

Thus, there are Swedish elements such as gentle touch, and gliding strokes that come into play within my massage.

However, in the name of giving a more therapeutic massage, I do like to utilize more deep tissue pressure. Just as I like to utilize trigger point therapy to alleviate knots in muscle tissue, myofascial release to get into denser areas of connective tissue, and sports massage to stretch overly contracted muscles.

I also highly believe in the concept of structural integration. Herein, I strive to be able to increase body alignment, and overall mobility. Along with how the use of Ashiatsu massage allows a deeper, more evenly distributed, pressure via utilization of the feet.

All of which is why I thoroughly enjoy working on Cervical, Subscapular, Trapezius, Rhomboid, and Gluteal muscles in particular. As well as why I also hope to soon become certified in Thai Massage, Oral Massage for TMJ disorders, Migraine Therapy, and Reiki Healing.
